The first home game of the Champions League season for the Orange Dragons saw the Ljubljana team take on the favoured Resovia team. In a spectacle where the crowd of more than 4000 fans created a great atmosphere, the Slovenian champions showed good play.

There is one thing that stands out when it comes to Slovenia. Slovenia and Slovenians love sports. There is even a holiday dedicated to sports, celebrated every 23 September. Sport has a strong emotional charge; it connects and motivates us.

In the 10th round match of the Sportklub First Volleyball League we watched the match between ACH Volley Ljubljana and the visiting team Hiša na Kolesih Triglav in Hala Tivoli. Both teams played a hard-fought game and the dragons won without a problem.

In the opening match of this year's Champions League, the Slovenian champions took on a star-studded Trentino squad. After the opening set, which was won convincingly by the home team, the Ljubljana players showed a great performance in the next sets.

For the current national and cup champions, ACH Volley Ljubljana, the elite Champions League begins with Thursday's match against the Trentino Itas team. The Orange Dragons compete in Group B, which includes Trentino Itas, Asseco Resovia and Tours VB.
