Jastrzebski cancels his participation in Russia

Polish team Jastrzebski Wegiel, who qualified for the Champions League main stage from the qualifiers, had to cancel their participation in the tournament again due to COVID-19 infection. As a reminder, the Poles were already absent from the first tournament in Berlin due to positive test results, and as a consequence automatically suffered three defeats. 

The Slovenian champions will therefore have the same schedule in Russia as two months ago - they face Berlin Recycling Volleys on Tuesday and Zenit Kazan on Thursday.

Matija Pleško, coach of ACH Volleyball Ljubljana: ''As for the points accumulated in view of the cancellation of the Poles ... I'm not bothered about that. I was more worried about the game against Berlin in the first tournament and the missed opportunity against Kazan. These situations don't come to the table very often and we'll see how we react now in Russia.''
