From the current national and cup champions, ACH Volley Ljubljana, comes the news that the Orange Dragons will be joined next season by the young and very promising junior national team players Nejc Najdič and Jošt Kržič. Primož Mejal will also continue to play for the Slovenian champions as a setter.
Najdič, only 17 years old, who spent last season with Merkur from Maribor, said the following upon his arrival to the most trophy volleyball team in Slovenia: "I am very happy that next season I will be able to be part of the ACH Volley Ljubljana team, which is full of players from whom I will be able to learn a lot and get better. Even though I am 17 years old, I want to make a good impression in Ljubljana and take advantage of every opportunity." Along with Najdič, the younger of the Kržič brothers is also joining the Orange Dragons, and it was with Najdič and Marovt that he enjoyed the greatest success of the Slovenian young team, the title of European champions. "Once you get a call from a club like ACH Volley Ljubljana, the decision is very simple. "

The 24-year-old Mejal, who is in his first season in a Dragons' jersey, also did not hide his satisfaction at the contract renewal. "Even though we have rejuvenated the team, our goals must remain the same. We are defending the colours of a serial national champion and only with hard work and a high level of motivation will we grow together as a team and I believe that the results will not be lacking in the upcoming season."

Mejal and Najdič will form a setters next season, while Kržič will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience alongside two outstanding blockers, Videčnik and Koncilja. The 19-time national champions have thus significantly rejuvenated their roster ahead of the new season, which will be largely composed of young and talented Slovenian players, which is a great sign of things to come for the development of the Slovenian volleyball in general.

We wish Primož, Jošt and Nejc all the best in ACH Volley Ljubljana.
