No major problems against Krka

In the 15th round of the Sporklub Volleyball League the Orange Dragons hosted Krka in Tivoli. The hosts won 3:0.

The home team coach Matija Pleško sent Gregor Pernuš to the floor as the game organiser, outside-spikers Jan Pokeršnik and Matej Kök, setter Božidar Vučićević, middle blockers Filip Rutar and Uroš Pavlović, and Kyle Dagostin as libero.

The match started quite evenly, with the visitors being the first to make more than a two-point difference (10:13). They held on to that advantage (11:14), but Ljubljana quickly found the back of the net. An ace by Rutar tied the score at 17:17, and then they continued in a more convincing style. With a block, they had a chance to win the first set (24:20) and took it in the next action (25:20).

The second set was marked by the hosts' complete domination. Thanks to a successful attack by Vučićević, they led 8:4 right from the start and only increased their lead. Novo mesto team could not find any solutions and the Slovenian champions had a ten-point advantage (18:8) thanks to a block by Rutar. The Dragons controlled the playoffs and took a 2:0 lead (25:11).

The visitors came back in the second set and took a 7:4 lead. The Dragons erased the deficit and tied the game at 10:10 before taking the lead again in the second set. Pavlović's attack gave them their 16th point (16:12) and they never let the guests turn the game around. In the third, they were 25:17 better.
