The reigning national champions, ACH Volley Ljubljana, will resume their campaign in the elite Champions League tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4th. After two matches—first away against Germany's Berlin and then at home in a packed Tivoli Hall—the team from Ljubljana put up an impressive fight against both favored opponents but suffered 3:1 defeats in both encounters. They currently sit in third place in Group A.

ACH Volley Ljubljana will face another crucial Champions League match at home in Tivoli Hall against the Belgian team Greenyard Maaseik. In one of the season’s highlights for the "Orange Dragons," more than 3,000 fans will witness a thrilling spectacle, with the team promising to fight for every point.

The Ljubljana team is pleased with their domestic season so far, having already secured 14 wins, with their only losses coming in the two Champions League matches mentioned. They have also reached the semifinals of the national cup competition.

Statement from ACH Volley Ljubljana’s Head Coach, Matjaž Hafner:
“We have another home Champions League match ahead, one of the season’s highlights. Our path in European competitions this season depends on the outcome of this game against the Belgian team from Maaseik. A win would keep us in touch with the top two teams, while a loss would significantly close the door to advancing beyond the group stage. Our goal is clear: to win, and we must approach the game with that mindset.”

Statement from ACH Volley Ljubljana player, Alen Šket:
“The team is highly motivated and ready for tomorrow’s clash with the Belgian team, who play excellent volleyball. We have our own game plan, and we aim to execute it in front of thousands of fans on our home court to secure our first victory in this year’s Champions League.”
