The current national and cup champions, the volleyball players of ACH Volley Ljubljana, presented their team at today's press conference before the start of the season and revealed their plans and goals for the next volleyball season. In beautiful weather, all the Orange Dragons were gathered in an idyllic location near the Ljubljanica river, with the exception of two Slovenian national players, Jani Kovačič and Danijel Koncilja, who will be fighting with the Slovenian men's national team for a ticket to the Olympic Games in the coming days.
The ACH Volley Ljubljana team enters the new season refreshed and rejuvenated. Five volleyball players have left the Ljubljana squad and five have joined.  The professional staff has remained unchanged. "ACH Volley Ljubljana is a team that enters every season with the highest goals and this year is no different, despite the rejuvenation of the team. The financial performance of the club is stable and the budget for next season is just under one million euros. The staff and the players have a tough job ahead of them, but we trust them to achieve what we have set out to do." The team's personnel and structure was also touched upon by sports director Aleš Jerala, who is pleased that they have managed to bring in three youth players who will form the backbone of the Slovenian national team in a few years' time. "To some extent we are monitoring the other teams in the championship, but we are more or less focusing on ourselves," Jerala added.

Ljubljana coach Radovan Gačič summarised his thoughts on the preparations so far and said:: "In clubs like ACH Volley Ljubljana, it is almost impossible to expect all team members to be present every preparation period, as the team is made up of national team players who have national team commitments in August and September. This year is no different, but we have to adapt to the situation and get the most out of it."

ACH Volley Ljubljana will play their first official match of the new Sportklub Volleyball League season on 7 October in their home hall Tivoli against Alpacem Kanal, after which they will head to Poland for a preparatory tournament with a full squad.
