At this volleyball spectacle, which is expected to draw thousands of fans, the best players will showcase their skills and promise to fight for every point.
The Ljubljana team is satisfied with their domestic season so far, having secured 14 victories in the national championship. On Sunday, they claimed their 15th Slovenian Cup title with a win over the volleyball team from Maribor in the grand final.
Coach Matjaž Hafner on expectations ahead of the clash with Berlin:
"I expect an extremely tough match against Berlin. We are facing an excellent opponent, and we will need to give our maximum if we want to create a surprise at Tivoli. We were not far from achieving that in our first encounter away, and that match gives us optimism ahead of this rematch, which I believe will take place in front of another fantastic crowd at Hala Tivoli."
Captain Jani Kovačič looks forward to the next European challenge and the great atmosphere at Hala Tivoli:
"The team is highly motivated to face Berlin. Sunday’s victory in the Slovenian Cup final gives us additional momentum ahead of this crucial match for us. We will need to play our best volleyball to compete with our favored opponents."
