ACH Volley Ljubljana announces that the core of the team for the upcoming season is complete. The goals are clear: to win two home championships (the national championship and the cup competition), to win the Central European Championship (MEVZA) and to make the most of the European competitions, this time in the CEV Challenge Cup.

The strategic work of the club and the cooperation with young and promising Slovenian players is evidenced by the signing of a multi-year contract with the promising setter Primož Mejal, who will initially train in Črnuče with the local first-league team. Outside-spiker Črt Bošnjak, who will be one of the main weapons of coach Juri Žavbi, is also leaving on a one-year loan to Črnuče.

Jan Planinc, who will be a doctor at the Ljubljana club, has been added to the ACH Volley Ljubljana staff. "Being part of ACH Volley Ljubljana is both an honour and a responsibility. This time I am returning in a completely different role. I hope that the season will pass smoothly and without any complications from a health point of view. I know most of the players and the professional staff and I think that the team will have a great chemistry."

The club's sport director Aleš Jerala concluded his thoughts on the assembled team of the Orange Dragons by saying, "The dynamic recruitment process is behind us, but I am satisfied with the outcome. We have managed to bring in both renowned and experienced players, as well as younger players with great potential, who are the future of the club. The team will be initially reduced due to national team commitments, but we have to accept this, adapt and prepare as well as possible for the season."

ACH Volley Ljubljana will start preparations for the new season on Monday, the 2nd of August. At the beginning, coach Mladen Kašić will have fewer players available, but the rest will join the team after the European Championships. The Slovenian national team, which also includes four players from ACH Volley Ljubljana, has high goals for the championship.
