ACH Volley Ljubljana regains convincing victory
ACH Volley Ljubljana volleyball team won the 12th round of the Central European Volleyball League MEVZA.This time they defeated the Slovak team TJ Spartak Myjava with a convincing 3:0. The 27th consecutive victory of the Orange Dragons this season is an excellent prospect before the next European test, which awaits the Ljubljana volleyball players next week in Hala Tivoli.

On the opening shot by Todorović, the Ljubljana volleyball team took a three-point lead (7:4). The Orange Dragons, confident in their reception and efficient in their attack, maintained their advantage in the following period (9:6). They successfully applied pressure through the initial shots and the visiting strategist Pipa was forced to call a timeout at 13:9. This did not change the balance of power on the court, as the Ljubljana players continued their fierce pace. After three successful attacks by a determined Mašulović and an ace by Gjorgiev, the lead grew to a massive seven points (14:7). The home team didn't stop and scored quickly and easily. (20:9). After a mistake by TJ Spartak, the set ended with a big lead in favour of ACH Volley Ljubljana (25:13).
The second set was opened by the Ljubljana players with a successful block by Mašulović. The guests from Myjava showed some resistance and managed to keep up with the favoured ACH Volley players (12:11). The rest of the set went according to the notes of the Orange Dragons, who after a successful block and then an attack by Videčnik managed to escape the guests to four points (15:11). A timeout followed at the guests' request, but it did not bring the desired turnaround, but the opposite. After a successful series of initial shots by Šket, the advantage grew to an unassailable seven points and the second set was practically decided. It was finished with a successful attack by Peruničić, the Montenegrin receiver in the ranks of the Ljubljana team.
The third set was also dominated by the Orange Dragons, who quickly pulled away after a successful attack by Gjorgiev and took a three-point lead (6:3). A half-minute break at Pipe's request followed, which initially had a positive effect on Myjava's volleyball players, as the guests managed to reduce the deficit (7:6). The Ljubljana volleyball players followed with a few minutes, and after some excellent serves by the skilful Gjorgiev, they finally broke the resistance of the guests (16:9). In the calm end of the match, which was finished with a successful attack by Kök, the Dragons only confirmed their well-deserved victory and thus continue to occupy the first place in the championship standings of the Central European League.
ACH Volley Ljubljana player Nemanja Mašulović: "Another win in two days, which was easy to achieve. With good serve we were in control of the match all the time and deservedly won. We are going into next week's European test with a good start, where we have a tough job ahead of us."
