ACH Volley Ljubljana remains undefeated after 11 rounds
In the 11th round of the Sportklub Volleyball League we watched the match between the undefeated ACH Volley Ljubljana and the House on Wheels Triglav, who showed an excellent performance in their first match in Kranj and took a point from the Dragons. Today's match saw a better performance from the Ljubljana team, who recorded a new 11th consecutive win in the national championship and remain at the top of the standings.

The Ljubljana volleyball team, led by the Bošnjak, opened the match with a great start and took the lead with 8:5. The Hiša na Kolesih Triglav volleyball team played better in the next period and after a block by Šikanič, they tied the match at the 13th point, while Mali's efficient attack ensured the first lead for the Triglav team (13:14). The ACH Volley volleyball team, with strong opening shots, took the lead in the next period. Videčnik's block got the first final ball, which the Dragons took advantage of after Jovović's attacking error (25:18).
In the second set, the visitors from Kranj took the initiative and with a very combative game led by four points (6:10). The home coach Gačič made a substitution and sent Kök into the game, who cut the deficit to two with an ace (10:12). Jovovic scored an ace in the second half to take a 16:12 lead. When Tučen scored another ace for a six-point lead (15:21), the visitors relaxed too much, which the Orange Dragons took advantage of and closed the gap to just one point (20:21). In a tense playoff, the teams were tied at 23, but in the end it was the Triglavs who were more composed, winning the set 25:23 after a mistake by the home players.
The third set started as the Ljubljana volleyball players wanted, two successful attacks by young Šen, who brought energy to the Dragons' game, and a moody captain Gjorgiev meant a seven-point advantage (15:8) and a secure lead. Even a timeout at the request of Rop didn't change the situation on the court, Todorovič with a great block for an eight-point advantage and Kök continued with his fierce initial shots.
The visitors opened the fourth set with three consecutive points, but the Dragons quickly tied it at six. The Slovenian champions continued with three more blocks, led by the excellent Mašulović. In the second half of the set, ACH Volley's volleyball players were a notch better opponent and after a block by Mejal they deservedly celebrated a new championship victory (25:19).
Statement of ACH Volley Ljubljana coach Radovan Gačič: "We experienced first-hand that the team from Kranj can be very dangerous in the first match of this season, so we expected a tough match this time as well. After losing the set, we successfully changed the course of the match with a few substitutions and deservedly celebrated another victory. Now it's time for the Champions League and the trip to Germany."
