Croatian national team player arrives in the orange nest

ACH Volley Ljubljana

The most successful Slovenian volleyball club ACH Volley Ljubljana announces that the new member of the 18-time national champions is the Croatian national player Filip Šestan.

The 26-year-old from Zadar made his first volleyball steps in the local club OK Zadar, then went abroad via Kaštela, first to Padova in Italy and then for the last three seasons successfully defended the colours of two Romanian clubs, Universitatea Craiove and CS Municipal Arcada Galați, from where he moved to the Slovenian champions.

On his arrival in Ljubljana, the 196 centimetres tall Šestan, who plays the outside hitter, told the club's website: "I hope that with hard work and a high level of motivation we will be able to achieve our goals and make a big impact in the Champions League next season."

Filip starts today with the Croatian national team in the European Golden League, where Croatian volleyball players will compete against Ukraine, Denmark and Spain in Group B.
