Šket remains in the orange nest for at least two more years
Most successful Slovenian volleyball club ACH Volley Ljubljana announces that Alen Šket has extended his cooperation before the season's climax. The player and the club have signed a two-year contract, which shows mutual satisfaction.
The 33-year-old Bistrica player, who has played for a number of strong and well-established clubs abroad in his career, including Halkbank from Turkey and Modena from Italy, and has won the European Championship title with the Slovenian national team three times, will continue to wear the jersey of the multiple national champions.
Šket was a member of ACH Volley Ljubljana between 2008/09 and 2012/13 and has already written a number of successful volleyball stories with the team (5 DP titles, 5 cup titles, 3 MEVZA championships), and in 2009/10 Šket played with ACH Volley in the final tournament of the elite Champions League.
The 205 tall receiver, who can also play the position of a point guard, said at the time of signing the contract. I am happy to continue representing ACH Volley and winning laurels. First of all, I need to finish the current season and win the Mevza, Challenge Cup and the National Championship."
