In the second quarter-final match ACH Volley Ljubljana hosted Hočane in Tivoli. The reigning Slovenian champions added a second win to their 3:0 victory today and qualified for the semi-finals of the national championship.
The match started better for the Štajerska, who took a three-point lead with a block (6:9). The Dragons quickly closed the gap to just one point (10:11), but Hoče players, with solid defence, held on to the three-point advantage until the end of the game (17:20). A block by Pesti increased it to four (17:21). The home team reduced it to 19:21 with an ace from Toukhteh and tied it at 23:23 with an ace from Kök. The Ljubljana team managed to close the set in their favour with a block for the 26th point (26:24).
The second set was more dominated by the home team (11:6), who easily controlled the rest of the game (17:11). In the playoffs, the advantage was already 8 points and the Dragons took the set to the end (25:19).
The third set was similar to the second and ended with an identical score. The Slovenian champions celebrated the victory with an ace by Ropret and qualified for the semi-finals of the Sportklub Volleyball League 1, where the winners of the match between Calcit Volley and Panvita Pomgrad will await them.
