Two Serbian national team players are the new high-profile reinforcements of ACH Volley Ljubljana
The volleyball club ACH Volley Ljubljana is speeding up the formation of the team for the next season, in which the goals are clear - to retain the primacy in the Central European MEVZA competition and return to the throne of Slovenian volleyball. In addition to the already known arrivals of new strategist Mladen Kašić and libero Jani Kovačič, Ljubljana welcomes two Serbian national players, Vuk Todorović and Nemanja Mašulović.
The two new signings represented Vojvodina Novi Sad last season, where they played key roles in winning the national title.
Todorovic, 23, can boast a European Championship title despite his young age, having won with the Serbian national team in the final against Slovenia in Paris. The top setter will form a setting pair with Gregor Pernuš. "I'm coming to Ljubljana together with Nemanja, which means a lot to me because this will be my first season abroad. We have been great teammates at Vojvodina for the past two years and have become great friends off the court. Expectations for next season are high. I'm coming to the most dominant club in the region, so I want to win."
Also coming to Ljubljana is 205 cm tall Serbian blocker Mašulović. He shares his satisfaction at the signing and is looking forward to playing for the Orange Dragons. Among other things, he says: "I feel phenomenal. I am very happy to become a member of such a successful team as ACH Volley Ljubljana. I have heard that it is a very organised club from my teammates who have played for this club. I am also very happy that a strong core is being built." Mašulović added that he is determined to win laurels together with ACH Volley Ljubljana. Together with Videčnik and Rutar, they will form a blocking trio.
Todorovic and Mašulovic know most of their future teammates either from friendly matches or national team competitions.
Both players are currently training with the Serbian national team, which will play in the Nations League at the end of the month.
ACH Volley Ljubljana would like to welcome Vuk and Nemanja!
